BENEFITS
Blemish control serum, spot treatment for problem skin.
A powerful anti-acne spot treatment serum designed to reduce the appearance of blemishes. This fast acting formula contains alpha and beta hydroxy acids together with mandelic acid and Barosma Betulina Leaf extract to decongest pores, gently exfoliate and soothe irritated skin.
Acne is a chronic inflammatory condition involving four factors:
1. Overproduction of skin cells which are trapped in the pores
2. Increased oil production by sebaceous glands
3. Excess P. acnes bacteria present in the pores
4. Skin inflammation as a result of the bacterial assault on living cells
Most acne products only address one or two of these factors. Synergie Practitioner D-congest is able to address all contributing factors in one formulation and reduce the appearance of acne.

KEY INGREDIENTS
Barosma Betulina leaf extract:
Is a plant based ingredient that directly acts on sebocyte (oil producing) stem cells to reduce excess oil and enlarged pores. Affipore is clinically proven to reduce pore diameter, pore volume and oil secretion.
Malic acid (AHA):
An AHA found in apples and has unique antioxidant properties that other AHA’s don’t have. Malic acid also contains unique hydrating properties and leaves a protective, moisturising layer on the skin.
Salicylic acid (BHA):
An oil loving acid that works on the uppermost layer of the skin and within the pores. It is excellent for acne sufferers as it can exfoliate and remove dead cells and debris trapped in pores.
A potent anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant to reduce redness and calms sensitive skin. Liquorice extract helps to regulate the oil gland making it an ideal ingredient for acne and congested skin. Also helps to reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone and pigmentation.
Lactic acid (AHA):
A natural and biocompatible AHA for effective removal of dead skin cells that is responsible for skin congestion. It also improves skin hydration levels.
Manuka essential oil:
Derived from the Manuka tree, Manuka oil has been used for centuries in Maori tribes for wound healing. It is up to 33 times more potent than tea tree oil as an antibacterial agent, reducing the P. acnes bacteria associated with acne.
